A native of the East Bay, Dr. Dennis Prat grew up in Oakland, California, which is why he chose to set up his practice, The Dental Touch, in his hometown to offer the community a menu of comprehensive dental services under one roof.
Dr. Prat earned his professional degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 1985. Dr. Prat received advanced training by completing a general practice residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami. After his residency, he maintained a private practice in Hollywood, Florida, for five years.
To broaden his practice, Dr. Prat went on to earn his credentials for Dental Implantology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. In 1990, Dr. Prat returned to Oakland, bringing his extensive training to patients in the community.
Dr. Prat keeps abreast of new techniques in dentistry by participating in many continuing education seminars. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Alameda County Dental Society, and the American Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Marjan Motallebi graduated from the esteemed University of Tehran, Iran, one of the nation’s top dental schools, in November 1999. As a dedicated and accomplished dentist in California, she has pursued extensive training at the University of the Pacific (UOP) and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), focusing on continuing education in dentistry.
With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Marjan specializes in general and restorative dentistry, endodontics, Invisalign orthodontics, oral and periodontal surgery, and prosthodontics. Over her 25 years of professional experience, she has successfully assisted countless patients in restoring both beauty and functionality, solidifying her reputation as a leading dentist in California.
In addition to her technical skills, Dr. Marjan is known for her artistic approach to dentistry and her dedication to educating patients about oral hygiene. She prioritizes follow-up care after major restorative procedures, ensuring her patients receive comprehensive support. As a holistic dentist, she emphasizes safe and contemporary treatments, which contributes to her esteemed status as a high-quality dentist in California.
I’m Trish, the Office Manager at The Dental Touch. My professional journey began in the medical field, but I launched my dental career in this very office over 10 years ago. I started as a Front Desk Receptionist and progressed to become the Office Manager, in which I continue to grow professionally.
I take pride in my role at The Dental Touch by overseeing the general flow and production of the office, but more importantly I advocate for patients by resolving insurance issues and financial barriers to avoid treatment delays and facilitate prompt care. A patient liaison, ensuring the office is an exceptional place to be a long-term patient.

For the doctors, I manage the schedule to ensure it runs smoothly, verify insurance breakdowns for clarity and accuracy, and assist with patient insurance coverage. I also help patients understand their treatment options and provide support throughout their care. Additionally, I take pride in maintaining the cleanliness of our office, providing a clean and welcoming space for our patients and staff.
